In order to qualify for National Showcase, skaters with freeskate levels Preliminary and above must place 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in a contested artistic event. Skaters can qualify at any sanctioned competition through the close of Showcase entries, which should be early July 2011. Skaters who placed top three in their event during the 2010 Showcase are automatically qualified for 2011.
